NovaSOL® is the liquid micellar curcumin formulation inside Licur. Its water-dispersible form brings micellar technology to our curcumin range, with bioavailability studied in humans.

Micellar technology: NovaSOL® encloses curcumin in tiny micelles, creating a water-dispersible liquid preparation. This gives Licur a distinctive formulation beyond conventional turmeric or curcumin powder.
185× higher bioavailability: In a human study of 23 healthy adults, NovaSOL® micellar curcumin showed 185× higher bioavailability than native curcumin powder, measured as total-curcumin exposure over 24 hours (AUC).
The formulation inside Licur: We chose NovaSOL® for Licur Max and Licur 7000. Both bring this liquid micellar formulation into a one-capsule daily routine, with a choice of 30- or 60-capsule packs.

The technology

NovaSOL® uses micellar solubilisation: curcumin is enclosed in food-grade micelles that are fully water-dispersible and stable across a wide pH range, so it stays in solution through digestion instead of precipitating out.

Measured bioavailability

In a human study, liquid micelles produced 185 times higher total curcumin exposure in blood over 24 hours (AUC) than native curcumin powder.

Randomised crossover study in 23 healthy adults. Each tested formulation supplied 500 mg curcuminoids, including about 410 mg curcumin. Native powder, micronised powder and liquid micelles were compared by measuring total curcumin exposure in blood over 24 hours (AUC).
