Turmeric capsules — micellar NovaSOL® curcumin
185× higher total absorption than native curcumin — no piperine, one capsule daily.
Turmeric capsules deliver curcumin — but native curcumin is poorly water-soluble and barely absorbed. The Licur range therefore uses NovaSOL®: micellar curcumin with 185× higher total absorption (AUC) than native curcumin, measured in a peer-reviewed human trial. One capsule holds 720 mg micellar solubilisate (~36 mg curcumin) — in absorption terms roughly the equivalent of 6,600 mg standard turmeric powder.

60 capsules
High-strength micellar NovaSOL® curcumin in Licaps® capsules.
Why micellar curcumin
In its native form, curcumin is poorly water-soluble and precipitates in the gut instead of being absorbed. NovaSOL® encloses curcumin in food-grade micelles that are fully water-dispersible and stable across a wide pH range — so it stays in solution through digestion. In a randomised crossover trial, total absorption (AUC) was 185× higher than from native curcumin powder.
No piperine needed
Many turmeric products add black-pepper extract (piperine) to push absorption. The micelle technology makes that unnecessary: Licur contains no piperine, avoiding its known potential to interact with how other substances are metabolised. The Licaps® capsules are plant-based HPMC — free from gelatine, sugar, gluten and GMO.
Licur 7000 or Licur Max?
Both contain the same 720 mg NovaSOL® solubilisate and are taken as one capsule daily. Licur 7000 adds vitamin D3 (7.8 µg, 156% NRV) — its authorised vitamin D claims are on the product page. Licur Max is pure curcumin without vitamin D, and vegan.

Frequently asked
How many capsules do I take daily?
One capsule a day, with liquid — with or without a meal. The micelles do not depend on dietary fat for uptake.
What does "185× bioavailability" mean?
In a randomised crossover human trial (Schiborr et al., 2014), total curcumin absorption (AUC) from the liquid micelle form was 185 times higher than from native curcumin powder. It is a pharmacokinetic measurement — a statement about absorption, not about health effects.
Why no piperine?
Piperine is added to many turmeric products to improve absorption, but it can affect how other substances are metabolised. NovaSOL® solves absorption with micelles instead, so Licur needs no black pepper at all.
What is the difference between Licur 7000 and Licur Max?
The curcumin part is identical: 720 mg NovaSOL® solubilisate per capsule. Licur 7000 adds vitamin D3 (7.8 µg); Licur Max is curcumin only and vegan.
How much turmeric does one capsule replace?
By absorbed curcumin, one capsule corresponds to roughly 6,600 mg of standard turmeric powder (720 mg solubilisate × ~5% curcumin × 185-fold absorption, per the manufacturer’s calculation).
A note on claimsCurcumin carries no authorised EU health claim — this page describes the absorption technology, composition and quality, not health effects. Licur 7000 additionally contains vitamin D3; the claims authorised for vitamin D are listed on its product page.
