A liquid micellar formulation

Each Licur capsule contains 720 mg of the NovaSOL® micellar preparation. Its water-dispersible liquid formulation is a distinctive alternative to conventional turmeric or curcumin powder.

Why we chose NovaSOL®

In the 2014 human study, the NovaSOL® ingredient showed 185× higher bioavailability than native curcumin powder, measured as total-curcumin exposure over 24 hours (AUC).

What makes micellar curcumin different?

Curcumin is poorly water-soluble. NovaSOL® uses micelles to disperse it in water. In a human study, this form produced 185× higher total curcumin exposure in blood over 24 hours (AUC) than native curcumin powder.

Without added piperine

Licur combines micellar NovaSOL® with a plant-based HPMC Licaps® capsule shell. Both formulas are made without added black-pepper extract or piperine.

Licur Max or Licur 7000?

Both provide 720 mg NovaSOL® per capsule and are labelled for one capsule daily. Licur Max has no added vitamin D3 and is vegan. Licur 7000 contains an additional 7.8 µg vitamin D3 (312 IU; 156% NRV), sourced from lanolin, and is vegetarian rather than vegan. Both come in 30- and 60-capsule packs: 30 or 60 daily servings.

Research on micellar curcumin:

  • Schiborr et al. (2014)

    Randomised crossover study in 23 healthy adults. Each tested formulation supplied 500 mg curcuminoids, including about 410 mg curcumin. Liquid micelles produced 185× higher total curcumin AUC over 24 hours than native powder. The study measured blood exposure at that dose.

Does 720 mg NovaSOL® mean 720 mg pure curcumin?

One capsule contains 720 mg of the complete NovaSOL® preparation, including approximately 43 mg curcuminoids and about 36 mg curcumin.

Are these turmeric capsules vegan?

Licur Max is vegan. Licur 7000 has the same plant-based capsule shell but also contains vitamin D3 from lanolin, so it is vegetarian, not vegan. Neither formula contains added piperine.
