What is curcumin, and why use micelles?
Curcumin is a compound in the turmeric rhizome that mixes poorly with water. NovaSOL® surrounds it in tiny structures called micelles, helping it disperse in water. Licur Max puts this liquid preparation in a vegan capsule. Each capsule contains 720 mg of the complete micellar preparation, not 720 mg of pure curcumin.
What does 185× higher bioavailability mean?
In a human study, NovaSOL® produced 185 times higher total curcumin exposure in blood over 24 hours (AUC) than native curcumin powder. The study involved 23 healthy adults and 500 mg curcuminoids per formulation. This is an absorption measurement, not a measure of a health effect. Source: Schiborr et al., 2014, PMID 24402825.
Licur Max or Licur 7000: what is the difference?
Both contain 720 mg of the complete NovaSOL® micellar formulation per capsule, in a liquid-filled plant-based HPMC shell. Licur Max is vegan and has no added vitamin D. Licur 7000 is vegetarian and adds 7.8 µg vitamin D3, which contributes to normal immune system function.
Both use the same micellar curcumin technology; choose by formula, then compare pack size.
Why is there no piperine in Licur Max?
NovaSOL® uses micelles to disperse curcumin in a water-compatible formulation. The 185× bioavailability result comes from this micellar technology, not added black pepper or piperine. The complete ingredients are listed on this page.

Take 1 capsule daily with water. 60 capsules provide 60 daily servings. Swallow the capsule whole and do not exceed the labelled serving.
Is Licur Max vegan?
