One capsule every 5 days, really?
Yes. Vitamin D3 is fat-soluble and stores in the body, so dosing doesn't need to be daily. 5000 IU every 5 days averages about 1000 IU per day. A common supplementing level, in a much simpler schedule.
Why D3 and K2 together?
D3 helps the body absorb calcium, and K2 contributes to normal bone maintenance and blood clotting. They complement each other closely, which is why many supplements pair them in one capsule.
Why MK-7 rather than MK-4?
MK-7 is the most bioavailable K2 form and has the longest half-life. A single dose stays active in the body for days. MK-4 is cleared from circulation in hours and needs to be taken more often.
What if I miss a dose?
No problem. Because D3 stores in the body, missing a capsule by a day or two doesn't break the schedule. Just take the next one and carry on.
Why is it in flaxseed oil?
D3 and K2 are both fat-soluble. They absorb much better with fat. Dissolving them in flaxseed oil inside the softgel means you don't have to time the capsule with a fatty meal.
Can I take it with other supplements?
Yes. D3+K2 pairs well with magnesium and multivitamins. If you take blood-thinning medication (anticoagulants), talk to your doctor before use. Vitamin K contributes to blood clotting.
Is it vegan?
No. The softgel is made with bovine gelatin. A vegan version isn't offered in this range.
